Michael Bach and Lana Kerzner presented the findings of NSI’s latest study on legal capacity, Failing at the Gateways to Legal Capacity: Assessing Equality for People with Disabilities in Canada’s Legal Capacity Regimes. The conference was hosted by the 120 Maryland Group in Winnipeg. The purpose of the Conference was to explore barriers that people with an intellectual or cognitive disability or living with mental health challenges face in exercising choice, power, and control in their lives; and to look at law, policy, and practice solutions in Canada and beyond.
